W. C. Butler Heating and Air Conditioning specializes in changing out furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps along with the installation of indoor air quality products such as electronic air cleaners, humidifiers and ultra violet lights in existing homes.

W. C. Butler Heating and Air Conditioning also does computer generated load calculations, complete system design and installation in existing homes as well as in new homes. Every employee at W. C. Butler Heating and Air Conditioning strives to live up to the company motto “Quality by Design”.

History... 

W. C. Butler Heating and Air Conditioning was founded by Chester Butler 30 years ago during his 27 year tenure with Roanoke Gas Company. In 1989 Mr. Butler left Roanoke Gas Company to pursue his full time business. W. C. Butler Heating and Air Conditioning has been selling Heil products for the 30 years that the company has been in business. Today, W. C. Butler has over 30 employees and does primarily residential heating and air conditioning with some light commercial work. W. C. Butler buys Heil products from local distributor, Southern Refrigeration Corporation, a very customer oriented distributor with outstanding customer service. 

W. C. Butler offers a full managerial staff coordinating all sales, new and existing installations, complete duct design and 24-hour service. 

Chester Butler – President/Owner: Has over 40 years experience in the industry and holds a Master card in HVAC, gas pipe fitting, plumbing and electrical and is devoted to quality service. 

Roger Jones – Comfort specialist: Holds a degree in HVAC from Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.S. in  Industrial Technology from Tennessee Tech. Roger has over 40 years experience in the business including sales, design, marketing and classroom instruction. Roger is also a founding member and past president of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers and is EARTH CRAFT HOUSE certified. 

Jeremy Henderson – Install Manager: Has over 10 years experience in both service and installation. Jeremy holds a degree in heating and air conditioning, has an EPA Universal certification card and a Master card in HVAC. 

Jimmy Eaton – Existing Sales Manager: Has over 22 years experience in service and installation in both the residential and commercial fields. Jimmy was a residential service manager for 3 years. He holds an EPA Type II and III certification card. 

Mike Nolan – Service Manager: Has over 12 years experience in heating, air conditioning and refrigeration. Mike attended Universal Technical Institute in Houston, Texas where he received a degree in heating, air conditioning and refrigeration. He also holds an EPA Universal certification card. 

Chet Butler – Quality Control Specialist: Has over 20 years experience in the utility, construction and HVAC industry. He worked closely with engineers, builders and developers during his tenure with American Electric Power promoting high efficiency heating and air conditioning products. Chet is a graduate of East Tennessee State University. He holds a Class A Contractors license.
